X-59 Low Boom Supersonic Jet Aircraft Coffee Mug
The X-59 is an experimental supersonic jet aircraft that is being developed by NASA to test new technologies for reducing the sonic boom of aircraft traveling above the sound barrier. Ground noise is expected to be similar to the slamming of a car door, giving SST aircraft a new lease on life. Commercial and private supersonic jets are expected to be able to fly over land as well as water ushering in a new generation of high speed air travel even faster than the Concorde.
