NASA space probes Pioneer 10 and 11 both carried a plaque with information about humans in the event the space probes are discovered by aliens in the far future. Voyager 1 and 2 both carried a golden record with the sounds of the earth and were encapsulated in a cover with images on how to play the record as well as a few bits of information about humans, like our place in the universe using the location of pulsars. Both the plaque and record cover designs have been printed on this mug to help you remember that humanity has built spacecraft capable of leaving our solar system, two of which are already headed into interplanetary space.
