Vintage illustration Merry Christmas holiday design featuring a page from the book Santa Claus and His Works. Published by McLoughlin Brothers in 1889. The story tells of Santa's work making toys for all the good little boys and girls around the world. This Victorian Era image shows an old, jolly Saint Nicholas building a rocking horse, a doll house and a sailboat in his workshop at the North Pole. He is using a saw as he wipes the sweat from his brow.
