Tam O'Shanter Coffee Mug
This Robert Burns tribute mug features our interpretation of the famous cameo portrait by Alexander Nasmyth, together with a snippet from his Burns' poem "Tam o'Shanter." The words on the mug read: "But pleasures are like poppies spread, You seize the flow'r, its bloom is shed; Or like the snow falls in the river, A moment white - then melts for ever; Or like the Borealis race, That flit ere you can point their place; Or like the Rainbow's lovely form, Evanishing amid the storm." We've added a digital illustration of three delicate poppies. The mug would make the perfect gift for fans of Scotland's favourite son, lovers of good poetry, Scots ex-pats and friends and family with Scottish roots. Burns is of course famous for "Auld Lang Syne" the song sung the world over every New Year's Eve. He is arguably the world's greatest poet.
