This house was built in 1928 and was first occupied by architect William J. and his wife Ione Dodd. After the crash of 1929 and Dodd's death in 1930, Ione sold the property to Ivan Miller, also of PDR. Restoring and maintaining this home given its 1920's architectural heritage (and a master like Dodd) is a lifelong endeavor. Nobody knows how to make real wrought iron any more, ditto the plaster, the roof, the copper, etc. This room was Dodd's office and shares a bath with the adjacent bedroom, now my wife's office.
