THOMAS POINT LIGHT MUG
Thomas Point Shoal Light is located in the Chesapeake Bay, in Maryland. It is the only 'screw pile' lighthouse that still stands in its original location in the Chesapeake Bay. The rock formations around the base protected the winter ice flows that damaged the other 'screw pile' bay lighthouses. Thomas Point is one of the most recognized lighthouse in the United States, and often used as a symbol for Maryland. The current lighthouse was built in 1875.
