Orangutans are sweet natured animals to begin with, but orangutan orphan Steppenwolf is particularly charming. The photographs are from the OFI Care Center in Kalimantan, Indonesia. One photo shows Steppenwolf relaxing in the rain forest during his daily jungle play time. The other shows him with his gentle playmate Melly, another rescued orphan. Purchases of this mug support OFI's ongoing conservation work, started by Dr.Birute Mary Galdikas when Louise Leakey selected her as one of his three women to study the great apes along with Jane Goodall and Dian Fossey, who both went to Africa for chimpanzees and mountain gorilla studies, respectively.
