This area of southern Pembrokeshire became known as "Little England Beyond Wales", because the native speaking Welsh were moved north into the hills. Until this day, you will hear very little Welsh spoken south of what has come to be known as the Landsker Line. Henry VII (founder of the Tudor Dynasty) was born in Pembroke Castle. He was the first and only Welsh king of Great Britain!
