Otto Bohler was a master silhouettist, and created many works based on the great classical composers and performers that were alive at the time. Anton Bruckner, also Austrian, was a famed composer who died in 1896. As wikipedia states: Bruckner's compositions helped to define contemporary musical radicalism, owing to their dissonances, unprepared modulations, and roving harmonies.
