If you sit still too long, moss could grown on you too. This old coastal southern oak has been around for at least 50 years, maybe 100. I really don't know. I know there are at least three different types of moss growing on it, including a little Spanish moss (which is really not a moss, but a bromeliad -- in case you didn't know).
