Leah Britt Slingerland, the matriarch of the Slingerland family, is entombed in the Slingerland Family Burial Vault. Died Feb. 13, 1863, Aged 86 yrs., God My Redeemer Lives, And Often From the Skies, Looks Down and Watches Over my Dust, Till he Shall Bid me Rise Leah’s descendants made an impact on the developing hamlet of Slingerlands. Her burial vault is desperately in need of restoration, and all proceeds from this sale will be used toward the restoration and preservation of the vault by the Friends of the Slingerland Family Burial Vault.
