This design is meant as a parody of the infamous never-used propoganda poster of Workd War II. Keep Calm and Carry On was meant as a phrase to help get through a major let down in the war. The 'Have a Cup of Tea' theme is the nearest equivalent to 'Carry On' and is the epitomy of Englishness.
