The KC-10 Extender is an aerial refueling tanker aircraft operated by the USAF. A military version of the three-engined DC-10 airliner, the KC-10’s primary roles are transport and aerial refueling. The KC-10's mixed refueling system of hose-and-drogue and flying-boom allows it to refuel the aircraft of the US Air Force, US Navy, US Marine Corps and allied forces.
