Getting a fill of diesel was hazardous for the herbivores. There was always a carnivore lurking just out of sight relishing of washing down a good meal with decent splash of diesel. Most herbivores dashed into the diesel, had a quick gulp, and raced away. However there was the odd one who got distracted, and lingered too long. They were fondly remembered.
