Elizabeth was the Daughter of James I and mother of Sophia, Electress of Hanover from whom the Hanover Dynasty descends. Married to Frederick V, Count Palatine of the Rhine, she was briefly Queen of Bohemia before her husband's election to the throne was contested in force by the Hapsburg heir.
