A lesson from my childhood. Never rock a hornets nest! You might get by with throwing the first rock. After the second missal thrown a hornet or two will follow the flight plan back to the thrower and likely as not pop them between the eyes. Another lesson from my childhood; hornets hurt a lot! It's still a mystery to me how my friends and I survived into adulthood. This quick monoprint was a reminder of a lesson learned the hard way.
