1893 ad for Harlene hair restorer Coffee Mug
To the Victorians, a lush head of hair was a woman’s most desired attainment. The magazines of the time were full of ads about products that would morph thin straggly hair into a crowning glory, follicularly speaking. Which brings us to this ad, which is a classic of its time, and originally found in a pile of Victorian paper I was the lucky recipient of some years back. It looks neat on all kinds of EVERYTHING, including mugs. Note that the print appears on both sides of the mug. Which is nice. Note also that my shop has dozens more Victorian items on HUNDREDS of items. Wanna see more old? Here's my blog!! www.fullservicebohemian.blogspot.com
